12. Emiline - Experiencing the supernatural favor of God in receiving a job offer

One month ago, I received a call for an interview on a job application which I have forgotten about. Anyway, I went ahead still.. I prayed for favor during the interview... and indeed, favor was what I had. From the sercurity guard to the receptionist, to the interviewer, I had nice feeling and I felt the peace of God. I instantly liked the job but I was told that I had to wait 2 weeks as they still had a handful of applications.
All this while, I prayed and claimed God's favor and victory., but it was a difficult 2 weeks wait. I was anxious about the results. Sure enough 2 weeks came by and I thought I had lost it..But then at the 11th hour, they called me for a 2nd interview. I was ovejoyed! When that day came, I was nervous. I just had to pray. I even set my msn title to : "I call it forth and It shall be...," to encourage myself and to proclaim it!
During the 2nd interview, I was told again to wait of another 2 week for an answer. I felt I did not score well. My spirit and mood went down the drain! But God was good, he had the security guard tell me that I will surely get the job because I was prettier than the previous applicant. Ha! Ha! God surely had a senseof humor! Nonetheless, in my heart, I was still troubled, I told God that I refused to worry about it and that He had all things planned and victory is for me! But then again, deep within, I really like and cared a lot about this job, I just could not stop thinking about it and how I may have failed the interview.
When sunday came, I went for church service as usual. During worship, I laid hold of God's promises and told Him I didn't want to worry about it. God is faithful...I heard an inner voice saying, "It's Just gonna be more than alright!." That was the answer! My spirit was instantly lifted! Another confirmation came when the guest speaker preached about being focused on Jesus; do not divert our attention from Him..etc. Hey! There and then, I realised that all these while, I was looking at the wrong direction - the direction of the job and not on the Giver Himself! When I realised that, peace overcame my worry and I knew and I knew, whatever results would be ~ Successful or failure... it's just gonna be more than alright!
On Friday, which was exactly 1 week after my 2nd interview, I received a call from that company! I got the job!! Isn't that sweet victory! All of Jesus and None on my own efforts! I knew I did not do well in the2nd round of interview. Nothing I could boast of but the goodness of God. To me, It's not just about getting the job, but it's knowing and going through the process of seeing God's faithfulness when I was so faithless. A sweet victory indeed!
