46. A life impacted by “Walking on Water”

On the 26th of August, I received a surprise email from a person who had bought a copy of the book, “Walking on Water” from Kinokuniya, Singapore. This is an excerpt of what he wrote:

Dear Joshua,

Last week I read your book "Walking on Water - 7 keys to experiencing God in a living relationship."

The book has had a tremendous impact on me. It has helped me significantly in understanding God's Word. I am a "recent" convert to God. Earlier I was ambivalent about His existence. I now fully believe in God and His existence. Your book is one of the books that have helped me reach this important milestone. Thank you.

Lately I was asking God if I should get in touch with His men so as to further improve my understanding of Him. Today, he took me to -

"Philip ran over and heard what he was reading and asked, "Do you understand it?" "Of course not!" the man replied. "How can I when there is no one to instruct me?" And he begged Philip to come up into the chariot and sit with him."

I take this that God indeed wants me to meet His men who know Him well. Since I learnt so much from your book that I decided to write to you and ask if you could help me meet someone who would be gracious enough to educate me on God and His ways…

When I read the email, I felt led of the Lord to meet this precious soul that the Lord had connected to me.

He shared of how he was looking for some other books on another shelf when by divine appointment he stumbled upon mine. He lays his hands on books before he buys them. After that he opened my book and he liked whet he read, so he bought it.

He had questions about what is the Word of God. He was surprised that my book had one chapter on “What is the Word of God,” and another chapter on, “Who is the Word of God.” He said he felt God was answering all his questions.

He wanted to contact the author. By “divine coincidence” the author happened to be from Singapore, where he is residing. I would say that less than 1% of the books in Kinokuniya are from a local author – so it was a miracle indeed.

We met recently. This dear soul who had not received the Lord earlier, invited Jesus into his heart for the first time. Heaven rejoiced in His salvation. I trust that God will intervene in his circumstances to bring full restoration to this precious child of God.

This testimony reminded me of how the Lord led me into the truth of Christ when I sought for the knowledge of Him as a child. God is a God who will come to us and meet us where we are - when we seek for Him. He is our answer. The Holy Spirit is always working in our hearts and His angels are making the right connections.
