I have been so blessed by Joshua’s book “Walking on Water”. I like this book very much because it is so clearly put into a simple way for me to understand. It is so systematic.
It is so true, when Joshua said the Father took centre stage in the Old Testament. And Jesus the Son our Savior took centre stage in the Gospels. Then when Jesus ascended to heaven, the Holy Spirit took centre stage in the New Covenant.
Knowing how the Holy Spirit works in us today is so vital in our everyday life and in all the situations we are in. Knowing the person of the Holy Spirit – that He is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent is liberating for me personally.
I am a mother of 4 children between the ages of 16 to 28 years old. The challenges I face daily is sometimes impossible. In the last few months, I don’t know if I was going through menopause. I felt emotional and depressed frequently. I cried and I prayed a lot too. Then suddenly this morning, after reading “Walking on Water”, it’s like I received a revelation from God. I’ve been missing the point.
As a mother, I have always focused on my childeren instead of seeing them as God’s children. He is God almighty. He will take care of them, He will teach them, He will guide them and help them. Hallelujah! I used to spend so much time seeking their love and their approval. I had tried very hard, and had tried to be a good example, but I ended up tired, drained and burnt out. I felt rejected when they did not listen to me.
Suddenly, I realised that I did not have to do all these things anymore for approval – because God loves me and His love empowers me to love. I am delivered and liberated from that emotional struggle. The weight on me has been lifted. Hallelujah! Praise be to God! Yes and Amen! My Redeemer lives!
I read on excitedly. I love every page, every testimony, every bit in this book. I have a new understanding about so many things that I’ve learnt before. Because all the facts are so simply put, I understand better, I could remember better, I could even quote some verses when I share about Jesus, Hiw work and His teachings. I thank God that He is teaching me so much through Joshua’s book. I am so blessed.
There so much more I could share about this valuable book but I would rather urge you to get hold of this book and read it for yourself. It is a worthwhile and edifying experience. Now I feel I can understand and receive by faith the peace that Jesus wants us to have. Jesus said, “My peace I give to you.” Thank you Jesus for your Holy Spirit in guiding me to receive your peace. Amen.
Juanita
