In one of the prayer meetings held during the Lutheran revival, the prayer team was praying for an individual who was suffering from spiritual oppression. As the chairman, Dr. Leong prayed earnestly for a breakthrough, Sister Eunice received a vision for the person.
After the prayer, Sister Eunice shared, “I saw a vision of a bird that was trapped in a cage. As we prayed, the cage was opened and the bird escaped.” That vision confirmed that the person had been set free and there was great joy.
Then, Sister Jean Chew, who was part of the prayer team, said excitedly that the vision shared by Sister Eunice was actually a verse in the Bible. Sister Eunice was not aware of it. Sister Jean found the verse and shared:
(Ps 124:7)
Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
The team was in awe of God because the vision given by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God were in agreement. There was such a connection in the spirit between Sister Eunice and Sister Jean as they shared. One shared from the Spirit while the other shared from the Word. They were both mutually edified through each other’s fellowship, and so were the rest.
