31. Mr & Mrs Lye - Delivered from death in a serious car accident in Australia

There is so much to give thanks for. My parents received the Lord in July 2005. About a year later in 2006, they experienced the deliverance power of God.

They were on a holiday in Perth with one of my brothers. While driving south from Perth towards Margaret River, my brother succumbed to fatigue on the wheels. When my mother who was sitting in the front passanger seat saw that the car was going off the road, she shouted.

My brother stepped on the brakes and and tried to get the car back on the road. However, the brakes were jammed and the car skidded. The car that was going at about 80-100km/h went zig-zag and finally crashed head on into a tree at the side of the road. It was a small 1.3 litre Korean car and the front of the car was badly damaged. The windscreen was shattered.

My mother who saw everything happening said that she felt the peace of God in her heart when the whole incident happened. My father who was sleeping at the back seat cried out "Jesus" when the car crashed.

Miraculously, they were all delivered from harm. My mother's side of the car suffered the worst impact but she was not seriously injured. They walked out from the wreck alive without serious injuries. I was the photos of the car and it looked really bad - the front was completely crushed.

I told my mother that it was God's angelic protection that delivered them from harm. I told them that they couldn't have gone home because God had asked me to write a book (Walking on Water) for them, and the book was still in progress at that time. They had to be around to receive the book.

My parents acknowledged that it was a miracle, and they gave all glory to Jesus for divine protection.
