26. Joshua & Wei Wei - Divine fellowship

One day, I was encouraging a good friend and university mate, Sister Wei Wei (Iris) in a crowded canteen during lunchtime. I was sharing testimonies of miracles in the Lutheran church revival as well as some exciting revelations from the Bible with great passion. Sister Wei Wei looked at me with skepticism and responded with disbelief.

As I tried seemingly in vain to convince her, a stranger who was having lunch next to Sister Wei Wei cleared his throat and interrupted us. He apologized for interrupting, introduced himself as a brother in the Lord, and told Sister Wei Wei, “Everything that this brother has shared is true!” She was shocked at the divine confirmation and all doubts vanished into thin air. I was equally stunned.

For a moment, I looked intently at him, wondering if he was an angel of God. No, he was not. He was a dear brother in the Lord from an Anglican church. Even though we did not know each other and we were from different churches, there was a connection in our spirits through Christ and the revelation of the Holy Spirit. I did get to know Brother S.L. Tan better after that. It was not a fellowship in the natural but in the spirit, which resulted in edification.

After that divine encounter, Florence and I started Bible Study with Sister Wei Wei and had a great time in the Word and in fellowship for many years.
